The Greenhouse
The WCTA Greenhouse is run by Mr. Marlowe and includes 4 separate pods as well as additional growing areas outside the greenhouse and around the school. In the greenhouse, students learn how to grow crops and work together in order to maintain to maintain the greenhouse and keep it functioning. Currently, the greenhouse does farmers markets almost every Wednesday. The Raise and Release Project is the Greenhouse's next big project, and we need your help in order to fund it. This is a great opportunity for people to get involved not only with local education but also with helping to save endangered species at a more local and personal scale than donating to another fund.

Pod 4
Pod 4 of the West Tech Greenhouse is the location of the Aquaculture Tank. Pod 4 is important because it also has a NFT table. NFT tables grow plants without soil. This is important because we can cycle the fish waste water through the NFT table in order to help grow plants.

Plants Outside The Greenhouse
At West Tech, we use the area outside of the greenhouse to our advantage by growing plants in three separate beds that surround the area. The North Bed is the oldest plant bed at the school, and is located behind the greenhouse. The South Bed is located on the front side of the greenhouse, by the access rode that goes by the South side of the school. The West Bed is the newest and largest bed, also along the Access rode but farther back. The produce grown in these beds is seasonal and decided by the students.
